1. Project Title: - CREDIT CARD FRAUD DETECTION USING

MACHINE LEARNING

2. Project Scope: -

The project aims to create and implement a credit card fraud detection
system using machine learning. Addressing the growing concerns
surrounding fraudulent financial transactions, the project will focus on
gathering a diverse dataset that includes both legitimate and fraudulent
credit card transactions. The data preprocessing phase will involve
cleaning, normalization, and feature engineering, with special attention
given to managing class imbalance. The development of the model will
explore various machine learning algorithms, such as logistic regression,
decision trees, random forests, support vector machines, and neural
networks. To rigorously assess model performance, evaluation metrics
like precision, recall, F1 score, and ROC curves will be employed. The
system is designed for real-time detection, seamlessly integrating with
existing payment processing systems. A user-friendly interface will
provide real-time insights, and the validated model will be deployed in a
production environment with continuous monitoring and updates.
Comprehensive documentation covering architecture, algorithms, and
maintenance guidelines will be supplied, complemented by training
sessions to ensure the effective implementation and management of the
credit card fraud detection system.

handle the computational load of training and running
machine learning models efficiently.
