1
Introduction:

The online stationary store project is an e-commerce platform that aims to provide a
convenient and hassle-free shopping experience for customers who are looking to
purchase stationery items. The platform is designed to offer a wide range of stationery
products, including pens, pencils, notebooks, folders, art supplies, and more.

The online stationary store project aims to provide a user-friendly interface that
allows customers to easily search for products, browse through various
categories, compare prices, and make purchases securely. The goal is to create a
platform that is both efficient and easy to use for customers, while also being
cost-effective and scalable for the business.

Overall, the online stationary store project aims to provide a convenient and reliable
solution for customers looking to purchase stationery items online, while also creating a
profitable business model for the owners.

Problem statement
The demand for online stationary shopping has significantly increased due to the
convenience it offers, but many customers are faced with challenges such as
limited product variety, poor website design, slow delivery times, and lack of
personalized customer service.
Therefore, there is a need for an online stationary store that addresses these
challenges by providing a wide range of quality products, an intuitive and user-
friendly website, fast and reliable delivery, and exceptional customer service to
ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

Objectives
a. To create a user-friendly platform for customers to browse and purchase online.
b. To keep our customers happy by offering great products, fast delivery, and great
service.
c. To optimize the website for mobile devices and enhance user experience, leading
to increased engagement and sales.

Limitations
a. User cannot bargain on shipping charges.
b. Can be purchased only through online not offline.

Methodology

a) Requirement gathering
i. Study of existing
Using the online based purchasing is widely popular in current
scenario. As per daraz.com.np, purchasing stationary items are
limited. But our system can be applied as a whole for stationary
items. Still customers may prefer a specialized online stationary
store for its personalized shopping experience, curated selection of
products, and specialized services. So this web and mobile app can
be a great example to meet the customization options, as a
specialized online stationary store.

ii. Software requirement (For Web Development):

 Front-End: React.Js
 Back-End: Java(Spring Boot FrameWork)
 Database: MySQL

iii. Tools and techniques(For Web Development):

 Visual Studio Code, Intellij Idea Edition Community and Xampp
iv. Software requirement(For Android Development)
 Operating system: Microsoft Windows 7,8,10 (64bit)
 Front-End: XML
 Language: JAVA
 Screen Resolution : 1280*800 minimum screen resolution

v. Tools and techniques(For Android Development)

 Android studio

b. Feasibility study
i. Technical feasibility
 It is technically feasible as we already have hardware and
software required for development of software. Also we
have provided clear product descriptions, easy-to-use
navigation, and accessible payment and checkout options.

3
ii. Economical feasibility
 The system does not require extra software and hardware
i.e. it uses open-source technologies. So, there is no
recurring cost than just the internet connection.

iii. Operational feasibility

 It is operationally feasible as we are making this system by
removing the threats and weakness of existing non
manageable system like Recommend purchased stationary
items which is reliable for the users.

c. High level design of a system

For the methodology of the proposed system, I will use Waterfall Model
to complete my proposed project. As we know, the waterfall model
illustrates the software development process in a linear sequential flow.
This means that any phase in the development process begin only if the
previous phase is complete. As my goals and vision is already clarified I
will use waterfall model in my proposed project.
