2. BUILD A NEW MULTI-PROJECT

2.1 DEFINE A STORAGE-LOCATION FOR MULTI-PROJECTS

On the SIMATIC Manager, click New and build a new multi-project:


 To name the project and to set the multi-project type on Picture 2.1-1
 To define a storage location for the new multi-project on Picture 2.1-2

After filling the project’s name, selecting the type and putting the storage location for the
new multi-project, check the SIMATIC Manager main interface and then a new folder
be found on the following Picture 2.1-3.

On the SIMATIC Manager, there are three kinds of views that Component View, Plant
View and Process View. (Click the view on the SIMATIC Manager to check them)
-On the Component View, configuration can be done;
-On the Plant View, putting the plant hierarchies and CFC Charts inserted can be done;
-On the Process View, tag, parameters, messages and variables management can be
done.

2.2 CREAT A SINGLE PROJECT IN A MULTI-PROJECT (FOR THE PLC: AS)

As the following Picture 2.2-1, right click the exampled multi-project “MANUAL” to
“Create in Multi-project”.

2.2.1 DEFINE A STORAGE-LOCATION FOR A SINGLE PROJECT

 To name the single project and to set the type on Picture 2.2.1-1

After filling the project’s name, selecting the type and putting the storage location for the
new single project, check the SIMATIC Manager main interface and then a new folder
be found on the following Picture 2.2.2-1.

2.2.2 INSERT PLC STATION (AS) TO A SINGLE PROJECT

Right click the exampled new folder “TEST” to “Insert new object”, select “SIMATIC 400
STATION” and name it (For example: “RAW MILL”) on Picture 2.2.2-1.
