The Blood Compact

The painting entitled The Blood Compact painted by Juan Luna was finished
during 1886 were in spanish langauge it called :El Pacto de Sangre while in Filipino
term its Sanduguan. The Blood Compact was pertain to the promise made between the
two parties in painting. The painting was the 1565 sanduguan between the Spaniards
Conqueror Legaspi and the Datu of Bohol named Sikatuna. The situation in the
painting was happen in bohol were the two met each other. The two men talk a lot and
made a toast with wine mixed their with drips of their blood as a symbol of their
friendship and trust to each party. I believed that one of the culture of Filipinos in
welcoming a visitor, they are very expressive in warm welcoming a visitors in our
land and ourselves. We offered our blood and flesh for them in order they fell that
Philippines has a very warm welcoming. The Blood Compact Painting was
remembering of the agreement made by the Spaniards people and Filipino peoples.
W’ve know that Spaniard revolution has brought draught in our ancestor back then.
Spaniards are the that’s makes the life of our ancestors miserableness. Unfortunately,
they neglect their promised made in the Sanduguan 1565.
The painting made by Juan Luna in order to be remember by the Spaniards
that they has a promised made to the Filipinos. But unfortunately the promise was
neglect by Spaniards and made Filipinos as their slaves. Juan Luna collaborated with
other well-known back before to finish the painting in order to safe the lives of
Filipinos and our home land.
