PLEDGE OF COMMITMENT
I, (state your full name), (position) of (station/school assignment), do solemnly
pledge my commitment as designated School Disaster Risk Reduction and
Management Focal, to work hand in hand with the allied DRRM practitioners and
stakeholders in:

1. Preventing and mitigating the adverse impacts of hazards and related disasters
affecting our communities;
2. Preparing and building capacities our school community to effectively
anticipate, respond to, and recover from impacts of likely, imminent or current
hazard events or conditions;
3. Responding to disasters and ensuring the preservation of the lives and
properties of the school community;
4. Coordinating the restoration of school community and improving facilities and
infrastructures in the aftermath of a disaster;
5. Maximizing the resources and application tools in DRRM;
6. Mainstreaming DRRM and Climate Change Adaptation in the school
community;
7. Incorporating DRRM in the contextualized learning modules;
8. Strengthening partnerships with civil society and humanitarian organizations
in pursuit of MATATAG Agenda;
9. Serving our people with utmost unity, cooperation and mutual assistance
regardless of age, color, ethnicity, and or gender or cultural, economic and
religious background;
10. Securing and safeguarding our citizens and the environment against natural
and human induced calamities as a moral obligation.

Knowing fully well that this designation does not entail additional remuneration, it
is in good faith and sound mind, that I commit to the ideals of public service and
encourage others to do the same. So help me God.
