NAMAN MANKAD
The women cell of Marwadi University initiated “MU Gender Champions Club”.

In order to promote gender equality, guaranteed by Article 15 of the Indian


Constitution, there is a need to change the mode of interaction at all levels home,
school, college, university, workplace and so on. The Government of India, in
order to increase the outreach for creating an environment that fosters equal
treatment envisages engagement of Gender Champions in all educational
institutions across the country

“MU Gender Champions Club” is a team of students which was formed on 5th
August 2022. The students at this initiative are working on the idea of gender
equality with all the creative ideas their creative minds produce. Students
organize numerous events throughout the year with the objective of Gender
Equality.

The broad mandate of a Gender Champion
is to provide an integrated and
interdisciplinary
approach to understand the social and
cultural constructions of gender that shapes
the experiences of women and men in
society. The aim is to make the young boys
and girls gender sensitive and create
positive social norms that value the girls
and their rights.

5th August 2022 , the day when “MU Gender


Champions Club” became a reality from just an idea
The club’s inaugural event was “MU Chef
Mania”. It was organized on 3rd September
2022 for MU faculty members. Total 25
Teams had participated in this event.
Cooking is not a gender specific job, and so
club wanted equal participation from both
the genders. With successful efforts of the
team, this goal was achieved.

Second event of the club was
“Back to Bachpan”. It was
organized by the club on 31st
December 2022 for MU
faculty members and for MU
students It was organized on
2nd January 2023. The
motive of this event was to
re-live the moments which
were the most precious of
an individual's life, the
memories of childhood.
There were three games for
both faculties and students
which were Office Tennis,
Eye On Ball, Hurdle Crossing
And Tic Tac Toe. INR 20 was
the participation fees for an
individual who was wanting
to participate.
The money collected from
this event will be used for
Gender Parity.
The “MU Gender Champions Club” is all about
bringing awareness among the people that all
the gender should get equal opportunities in
every field. The club will keep organizing such
events as per the objective.

The club will help your eyes to be blessed, as it
will decorate the flowers of gender equality in
a garden of great future with it."
