The main objectives of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya

are as follows:

 The main objective of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya is to

provide quality elementary education through residential
school for the underprivileged girls living in adverse
conditions.
 To motivate parents / guardians so that girls can be sent to
Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls School.
 Mainly focusing on girls who are out of school (unnamed /
chiseled) and whose age is above 10 years.
 Focusing especially on the girl child of caste or communities
moving from one place to another.
 Enrollment of 75 percent SC / ST / Extremely Backward
Classes and Minority Girls and 25% BPL families in Kasturba
Gandhi Residential Girls School on priority basis.

KGBV, Kalyanpura Bassi Establishment:

Our School started in private rented building from year
2007-08 with 32 girls. Now we have our own building and
premises with 110 girls in this school.

Major Activities of school:

Shaikshik Kishori mela:
Every year we organized Shaikshik Kishori mela at big level. More
than 500 students participated form other schools also, Students
take participate in activities different types of stalls, games and
cultural program.

Meena Manch:
Meena Manch is a platform for girls in schools that give them an
opportunity to openly talk about it. It encourages girls to engage
in education, attend regular schools and be aware of gender-
based discrimination. Indirectly gives an opportunity to develop
basic life skills such as the development of self-confidence in girls,
skills in finding solutions and leadership skills. So we make Meena
Manch of the school girls and try to get achive above goal
through many prescribed activities of Meena Manch.

Kishori Bal Samuh:

For creating leadership skills with interpersonal communication
we make Kishori Bal Samuh and conduct monthly meetings and
program.

Children’s Parliament Team (Bal Sansad Samuh)

We create Children’s Parliament Team (Bal Sansad) for open
discussion on social and other issues and creating ownership,
team building and other Benefits.

Bal Sabha
A unique program for students to enhance their capacity and
build their confidence and they identified their inner skills through
this event. Bal Sabha condycted on every last Saturday of the
month.

Kitchen garden (Bagwani)

Students develop kitchen garden without any chemical growing
vegetable add used into their own food.

Vocational Course
Two Major courses run by us at our school. We offering Cutting
-Tailoring and Beauty cultural course and total intake of these
courses are 60 in a year.

Regular sports activities

Students regular practice their games twice in day morning and
evening session. Under BOSCH CSR project Khel-Khiladi SYSS
organization help and support in coaching of concern game.

Scout & Guide

Under BOSCH CSR project thei assistant organization Samajik
Yuva Sangthan Sansthan (SYSS) provide 16 Guide complete
uniforms and financial support in to regular activities and camp
fee too.

Life Skill Education for Girls development

Under BOSCH CSR project their helping organization Samajik Yuva
Sangthan Sansthan (SYSS) conduct weekly session on Different
life skill sessions for our students with effective and participatory
method for building their leadership, communication skills and
overall development.

Library
We have a well-equipped library with good number different type
of books. Students regular use these books with regular
newspapers and magazine also. We try to build their general
knowledge and reading habits.

Bollywood actress visit in 2014 and appreciate our school
students and their activities.
 Many Visits and delegates i.e. Ministry of HRD, Unicef, State
Government officials come and see our school and after
meeting with students they all appreciate school
management.
