1. My first goal is aligned with
the last goal listed by my
school. The Equity Team was
established last year and
worked with the company
Core Collaborative to discuss
changes to the curriculum in
order for read-alouds and
touchstone texts to be more
inclusive of all cultures and
races. This year it was
opened to more of the staff
and I applied as the cluster
representative and was
selected to be part of the
team. I am very much
looking forward to this
because we know librarians
play a strong part in making
sure that students have
access to equitable resources
and inclusive literature.

3. My third goal is related to the
school’s vision and mission
statements. They both touch
upon students being lifelong
learners and I believe that
Sora helps them do that. I
have already signed up to
give a PD on Sora to staff and
plan on having every class
come to the library to learn
about Sora. The students I
already have in my classes
tools, the students of PS 205 will
become independent lifelong
learners that will contribute to
society.
