Bang Si-Hyuk, is a lyricist, producer, and


entrepreneur from South Korea. He is the founder
and former CEO of HYBE Co., Ltd. (formerly known
as Bighit Entertainment), which has become one of
Korea's major music labels and entertainment
companies. He is also the man behind the global
success of BTS, the world's biggest boyband.

Bang launched his own record-producing company,


Big Hit Entertainment, in 2005. Bang said in an
interview with Variety that he wanted to use
songwriting to send a message to youths through
BTS, which is why he wrote songs for BTS about
Bang Si-Hyuk uncommon topics that youths are facing, like mental
health, toxic masculinity, women's empowerment,

Corporation self-love, the struggles of growing up, and others. By
doing so, he gave the group a distinct image from
other K-Pop idol groups at the time, allowing Big Hit
Entertainment to promote BTS as the ideal idol group
capable of empathizing with their fans. Because of
the band's overwhelming success, the company
rapidly rose to a powerful position in terms of both
music and business. HYBE began expanding its
reach into e-commerce, gaming, and tech to create a
cohesive ecosystem for its consumers.

Tadashi Yanai is the most successful businessman in


Japan and the founder of Fast Retailing, now the
world's fourth-largest apparel company, with over
2,000 retail stores and a portfolio of brands, including
Uniqlo, Helmut Lang, Theory, Comptoir des
Cotonniers, and more. Uniqlo alone aims to increase
sales to $50 billion by 2020, based largely on
expansion in US, China and online

Yanai is renowned as an inspirational leader, but is


as humble as he is ambitious. He told Monocle
Tadashi Yanai magazine, "I might look successful, but I've made

Socorro Ramos or “Coring” began her career in
publishing and retail as a salesgirl in a bookshop.
With a capital of PHP200, she and her husband
launched National Book Store in Escolta at the age of
19, selling books and school supplies. The Japanese
imposed censorship on books and publications at the
time, which included her burgeoning business. She
and her husband supplemented their income by
selling other products such as candles and soaps.

The National Book Store now has around 3,000


employees. At the age of 98, Socorro Ramos is worth
an estimated USD3.1 billion, making her one of the

Socorro Ramos country’s richest people.
