MSS temp should be between 320 to 350 deg C, pressure around 35 to 40kg/em2 and temp of
stop valve body more than 250 deg. C before opening HP Control valve.
Ensuring proper vacuum open control valve and set rpm of turbine 600 RPM for soaking.
Soaking will be in service till reaching HP casing temp more than 210Deg. Centigradeand
overall expansion of HP turbine more than 6.0mm
‘After reaching HP casing temp more than 210 Degree C. And overall expansion more than
6.0 mm put unit on 3000 rpm.
‘Soaking will be in service tll reaching IP rotor temp more than 210deg. C
‘After reaching above parameters unit will be synchronized and gradually load will increase
keeping overall expansion in limit by controlling MS and HRH temp.
Warm light up 210MW KWU Turbine( HP casing temp<350 deg. Cand>150 deg. C)

valve.
Ensure soaking to minimize casing TOP- Bottom temp difference less than 30 deg. C
Ensuring HP casing temp more than 210 deg. C. Put unit on 3000 rpm and when achieve IP
rotor temp more than 210degC, synchronize the unit and increase load keeping overall
expansion in limit by controlling MS and HRH temp.
