Electric transportation and conventional transportation

Nowadays transportation is a must in our daily lives. There are public transportation
and private transportation. Before, all the vehicles we know are mostly use petrol as
their fuel, known as conventional transportation. But recently a new type of
transportation has been introduced to us, to indonesian people. And slowly people start
to change their conventional transportation to electric transportation. However we have
to consider whether those vehicles are suitable in our area, in order to know that I’ll tell
the possibility we could get from each transportation as a comparison.

A. Conventional transportation
Generally, we all know that conventional transportation use petrol as their fuel. It is
not a rare thing anymore in most era. Every house have at least one in their garage,
whether it is a car or motorcycle. therefore everything of course have some positive
reasons why they are becominh common in many places aside from making life easier of
course. For example

1) Cheaper to buy
As we all know that conventional transportation were more used from
electric transportation until this moment and god know until when, one of the
reason is because it is cheaper to buy and easier to find. Let’s take a car as a
comparison, according to google the average price for a conventional car is about
Rp.141.000.000,00 (million rupiah) to Rp1.200.000.000,00 (billion rupiah) and for
electric car is about Rp 674.000.000,00 (million rupiah) to Rp 2.900.000.000,00
(billion rupiah).

2) Easier and quicker to recharge

It is easier for us to find petrol station in our country, especially in our
area. There are a lot of places to refuel our vechicle whether it is officially a
station from pertamina or just mini version of it, you know exactly what I mean.
And it is also quick, we just need to get in line, open the fuel tank cap and let the
employee refuel it as how much we wish.

3) suitable for long distance driving

still connected to the second point i just said, because it is easier and
quicker to recharge, in this case to refuel, that mean this transportation is
suitable for a long drive as long as there are still petrol station nearby.

Enough about the conventional transportation, now we are gonna talk about electric
transportation,

B. Electric Transportation
Just like their name, electric transportation used electricity as its fuel. Compared
to conventional transportation, electric transportation have their own fans too, and
as always it is not because of no reasons, for example
Electric transportation and conventional transportation

1) Enviromentally Friendly
Electric transportations aren’t making any smoke nor any loud noises, so
they are very suitable to reduce air polution especially when we look at the news
about the polution in big cities.

2) Cheaper to recharge its fuel

According to katadata, Wednesday, the 2nd of june 2021. The cost of
charging an electric car is cheaper than the cost of refueling with oil. The cost of
charging an electric car is Rp.1.700,00 (Thousand rupiah) to Rp.1.800,00
(Thousand rupiah) per 1.3 kWh. While the cost of filling up conventional car
petrol is around Rp.7.000,00 (Thousand rupiah) to Rp.8.000,00 (Thousand rupiah)
per liter. With these costs, an electric car only costs Rp.200.000,00 (Thousand
rupiah) for the trip from Jakarta to Denpasar. Meanwhile, a conventional car
costs IDR 1.200.000,00 (million rupiah) for the same route.

3) Easy to maintenance
You no longer need to remember oil change schedules or car engine terms
because electric cars only consist of batteries. What's more, electric car engines
are also more upgraded, so they don't require too complicated car maintenance.

I think that is all what I could tell you about my topic this afternoon, in
conclusion I prefer conventional transportation for now, as it is easier to bring for
a long drive and whatsoever, but I really hope in the future there will be more
battery station for electric transportation in our country and of course making
another way to produce electricity. Flashback to the process of generating
electricity that requires fossil fuels, namely coal. This means that if the use of
electric cars increases, more electricity is needed so more fossil fuels are needed
to produce that electricity. Therefore, we need electricity sources that are also
environmentally friendly, such as solar panels, wood turbines and nuclear.

It is time to end my topic, but before that if you have comment, or

suggestion please do mention them as I will try to answer from what I have
known.
