Dear Mr. Deloach,

Hello, I am very pleased to meet you and be in your class. I hope we can have a great

year together. My name is Zoe, which should technically have two dots above the O for an

accent mark, but my parents decided they didn’t care and forgot about it, so I don’t use it. I was

born in Nevada and I am 13 years old, going to be 14 on April 24th. I like to read, write, draw,

and watch cartoons. Cartoons are my favorite thing in the world, aside from ducks (The title was

not a mistake), and the color green. I don’t eat meat except for chicken or fish except for shrimp,

and my favorite food is rice pudding… or maybe donuts. So, yeah, I’m very picky.

In my family, I have a mom and a dad, their names are Erika and Michael Weiss. I also

have a brother who is currently in his first year of middle school here. His name is Logan. We

are learning Hebrew for our upcoming B’nai Mitzvah. That’s when two people do their Bat or Bar

Mitzvahs at the same time. So as you could probably tell, I’m jewish, and I’m going to have my

B’nai Mitzvah next summer. This summer however, I went to Costa Rica and did some fun

things such as climbing trees up to 100 feet tall, jumping down waterfalls 100 feet tall, ziplining

about 100 feet off the ground… Can you sense some repetition?

To succeed in English, I don’t need much help, I like to write and I’ll gladly do any

assignment. I usually get A’s in English, so I won’t be much trouble and you can help others. I

like to believe that I have a good vocabulary. I love to read too, so that won’t be a problem, and I

prefer to work alone. I don’t really like talking to people unless I know them well, so groups

aren’t my favorite. Aside from that, I love English and my past teachers and classes have been

astonishing, so I hope this class will be the same! I hope you have a great rest of your day!
Sincerely,

Zoe Weiss
