A Little about me

Hello, my name is Olga Lucía and in this short text I am going to write a little about me. As
I said my name is Olga Lucia, but all my family and school partners calls me Olga. My last
name is Ramirez Contreras. I am from Bogota, and I have always lived here. Swimming is
my hobby and my favorite sport. When I am swimming, I forgot all the things that are
around me or the problems that I have. I would never change this feeling. My favorite
color is blue, and my favorite food is seafood. Reading is an activity that I enjoy a lot too. I
have been reading a book called “Código Da Vinci” from an author called “Dan Brown”
actually I liked it a lot. I prefer romantic and mystery books. I love traveling. I have visited
approximately 9 countries and I wish I could visit more. I have lived with my mother and
father. My parents are teachers and for me they are the best teachers in the world. In my
opinion they love their jobs and teach with passion; however, I didn’t acquire the talent of
teaching because I am not a patient person. I suppose If I were more patient, I would
teach as my parents. They are my engine and the most important in my life. Thanks to
them I am proud of the person I am now. I consider that I am happy, respectful,
disciplined, honest, friendly, generous, and tolerant.

Nowadays I have been studying in a private school that is called El Carmen Teresiano
actually all my life I have been in the same school, and I have formed very good memories
there, in other words I consider my school like my second home. Also, I have been
studying a pre-Icfes in an institution called “Formarte”. I have been participating in the
class all Saturdays besides, I have been in extra classes and lessons. By the way I am going
to graduate this year for this reason I have focused on my studies (more than previous
years) in order to get a high score in the Icfes. Moreover, If I get a good score, I will apply
for a scholarship. In general, I have good grades but now I have made a big effort and I
wish I would see excellent results. In this moment I am not sure about what I am going to
study or where. I think I could study something related to economics or international
business since I am good at math, political science, and English and for me these subjects
are essential in these majors. The only thing I’m sure of is that I want to choose a major
that I am passionate. My father said that the career didn’t matter. The really important
thing is that I be the best in my job so that I can help others.
About my past I have a lot of anecdotes in my school and in my daily routine. For example,
in my school I remember that one time I was talking and walking with a friend in a little
mountain that my school has because we had free class. But my coordinator thought that
we were avoiding the class. In fact, she spoke on the megaphone. We felt very
embarrassed and then we clarified the situation to the coordinator. I remember that all
my classmates made fun of us. In school I have been recognized for my good grades. I
have obtained three diplomas and I feel very proud of myself. Another anecdote that is
very common for me to tell it and it was when I ate a small battery. As far as I remember I
was 3 years old, and I was in my bedroom with my mom. I was playing with my toys (a
children’s phone). I remember that I saw a little object inside this phone, and I supposed
that it was a candy, so I ate the little battery. My parents were very worried and took me
to the emergency room. Fortunately, no surgery had to be done because the battery
completed the digestive cycle. I used to play volleyball and I used to go to the gym.
However, for the pandemic situation, I have stopped these activities.  Diving and surfing
have been other activities that I practiced. I was going to learn French as soon as I could

And about my future I am not sure what I am going to do. I have never liked making plans
due to the fact that life is uncertain, and plans can change spontaneously. Of course, I
have certain goals and dreams and I am going to talk a little about that. I am going to
graduate this year whether I continue to be responsible. I am going to study in Colombia,
but I don’t know the university. I will study in “La Sabana”, “El Rosario” or If I have good
results, I will study in “La Nacional”. The major that I want to study are in these
universities. I am not sure about my major but the one I like the most is “economics and
international finance”. I will study in other countries such as Germany, Canada, Italy, or
Spain. I wish I could create my own company and I will be my own boss. I wish I could
spend a lot of time with my family and share amazing memories with them. I will travel
around the world and learn about new cultures. I consider that for the major that I am
going to study (something allied with international business) is important speak more than
2 languages
