Making a New Diary Entry


This activity will help you meet these educational goals:
You will produce clear and coherent writing that is appropriate to task, purpose, and
audience.

Directions
Read the instructions for this self-checked activity. Type in your response to each question,
and check your answers. At the end of the activity, write a brief evaluation of your work.

Activity
In this activity, you will use the Notebook tool ( ) to write a diary entry, keeping in mind all
the points covered in the lesson.

Part A
Choose one of the topics below. Then write about it in a diary entry that is 150 to 200 words.
You can use some of the text in your Notebook from your open-ended diary writing tasks
earlier in the lesson.
Write about a hobby or an activity you enjoy.
Describe your relationship with your family and friends.
Describe your school life.
Talk about your ambitions and dreams for the future.

My farvotive hobby is voleyball. I like volleyball because of how its relest stress. I also like it becuase its fun
and easy to make friends. I enjoy volleyball so much. Volleyball is a good way to talk to,ur teamates
because they wont judge you and you can taalk to them about anything. I been playing sense I was little. I
worked my way up by practing hard and playing a lot. I played at hearts in havens when i lived in texas. I
played there for 2 years mabey. Then I played at luguna beach volleyball. I played there for about 1 year. it
was rlly fun but hard because the choches wasnt doing her job. But shes really fun and a good person to
talk to. Now i'm in utah and trying out for the volleyball team. I been looking forward to this because it
would be rlly fun.

Is there anything new you discovered about yourself?
Note that this task is optional. You can choose to not share your diary entry if you don't have
a friend who is working on the same assignment.

I think I did a 4 because I did had some information but It was suppost to be 200 words and I rthink I need
to summer up my reading. I like how it makes sense but need some work on it.
