X91 Static File Download

Downloading Static Occupation files from CHC receivers using the serial port:
1. Connect receiver to COM port on your PC. (Best if COM1.)
2. Start HCLoader: (Chinese Menus? See end of this document!)

After 20 seconds, the serial number and COM port will be displayed on the window top.
On the left hand tab, navigate to the folder that you want to download into. Click on the
folder. On the bottom status line you will see the destination:

 Next highlight the files (at the top) that you want to download:

Click the ‘Down’ button on the toolbar:

each of the files will be downloaded to the destination directory.

 Converting from HCN to RINEX

CHC receivers encapsulate native formats (Trimble DAT) in .HCN files. The CGORinex.exe
tool will quickly convert from HCN to RINEX files for you.
Run the CGORinex tool:

Click on the ‘File Open’ icon (shortcut Control-O, menu ‘File: Open’). Browse for the .HCN
files you want to convert (you can highlight more than one file at a time):

Click OK.

 Next click on the ‘Convert’ button (or press F5).
CGORinex will convert the selected files into RINEX files. The output is placed in a folder
named ‘RINEX’ under the input file location:

Advanced:
If you want to modify the RINEX headers, you can enter data prior to pressing Convert.
Click on the ‘Options Gear’:

 and enter/change the values as needed.

Chinese
If you start the HCLoader.exe program and you see Mandarin Chinese characters, and
that is a problem:

you can switch to English by clicking on the menu option ‘L’ and then ‘E’.
