UNSUCCESSFUL APPLICATIONS WILL BE SUBJECT TO ERASURE
(DELETED/SHREDDED) AT THE END OF THE UAS SELECTION PROCESS
SUCCESSFUL APPLICATIONS WILL HAVE THEIR DATA RETAINED FOR THE
DURATION OF THEIR TIME WITH THE UNIVERSITY AIR SQUADRON.
PERSONAL DOSSIER WILL BE SUBJECT TO ERASURE ONE YEAR
FOLLOWING DISCHARGE. DATA WILL BE STORED IN MOD SECURE SHARED
SERVICE PORTAL AND DIGITAL DOSSIER IN MOD SHAREPOINT CLOUD,
LIMITED TO ESSENTIAL STAFF AND THE CHAIN OF COMMAND.

Before completing the application form, please

read these eligibility requirements.
 Applicants must be a full-time registered student, studying for a first degree
and have at least 5 academic terms remaining to complete their course.
(Students on Foundation Degree are ineligible until they commence their
first-degree).
 Applicants must be 18 years at point of attestation (Formally joining UAS)
 Have GCSEs at Grade C/4 or SNE at Grade 5 or SCE Standard Grades at
Grade 2/SNE 5 in English and Maths.
 Applicants nationality must be British/Commonwealth/British
Protected/Republic of Ireland/Dual (British & Other).
 Commonwealth students are ineligible to join a UAS if they have any service
commitment in their own country.
 Applicants are ineligible if they have any unspent convictions or ASBO still in
effect.
 Current UK serving reservists can apply to join the UAS. If successful, can
only be a member of one military organization and will need to discharge
before attesting to the UAS Volunteer Reserve Service.
