Who are we?

A curious community of artists seeking to explore, engage
and experiment with our rich inner world.

Why is it called a ‘lab’?

To create space for an ever-evolving research on itegrating
foundational elements from various acting systems and
offering a safe space to create and refine our personal
systems of practice, work and life.
It is process oriented lab and not a goal oriented workshop.
Finding our unique answers. Taking, filtering, rejecting and
absorbing from various sources

What is the focus of this chapter?

Cultivating Actor-Creators

We will not only explore tools and techniques to deliver

honest moments of truth grounded in our being, but also
empower ourselves to create our own cinematic pieces as
independent actor-creators. We will also explore the craft of
dubbing in a professional setup
 STUCTURE

Module 1- Various Somatic, Meditation and Art based tools to find

grounding, relaxation, flow state and get in touch with our ‘bieng state’.

Module 2-Getting in touch with our instrument and discovering ways to

deal with our personal blockages.

Module 3- Integrating craft techniques to discover our own method.

Elements from Erric Morris, Micheal Chekhov, Miesner, Navarasa,
Grotowski

Module 4- Learning how to make our own films and realise our power as
Actor-Creators. Exploring performance along with Editing,
Cinematography, Sound Design

Module 5- A day of exploring Voice acting and Dubbing in a

Professional Dubbing Studio

Module 6- Screening, feedback, review and crystallization of

our discoveries

 ABOUT THE FACILITATOR
Rohan is a part of The We Lab as a curator and one of our facilitators. He
has coached actors for Kaptaan (upcoming webseries by Baweja Films),
teaches as guest faculty at Jamia, AJKMCRC(Acting Dept.) and has been
certified as Master Trainer for Actors by NSDC Skill India (TID-TR319820)

He has been professionally working as an actor, dubbing artist, editor,

sound designer for theatre, films, webseries and television in Bombay for
last 7 years . Kalkoot, Sam Bahadur, Bhaukaal, State of Siege are few of his
latest projects as an actor. He has voiced for Sonic-The hedgehog,
Hanuman, Primal Fear, Parineeta (Audible) to name a few.

His foundational training is in Filmmaking (Symbiosis Centre for Media

Studies), Acting and Theatre Making (Jamia, AJKMCRC). SInce then he has
been consistently training in various acting appraches at residencies and
workshops throughout the country for his artistic training, and as a part of
his research on acting pedagogies.
