Mini Project – Building Drawings

Case study
The Government of KPK intends to construct a primary school at Jalozai to help local people of that region get their
children educated. This project has been assigned to the Design Cell of UET Peshawar and you, being the team member
of the designers, have been assigned to work on the drawings of a specific classroom attached to verandah of the school
building.

Specifications

1. PCC (1:4:8) in foundations.

2. 1st class brick masonry (1:4) CSM in foundations.
3. 1st class brick masonry (1:3) CSM in walls.
4. 2" thick DPC of PCC (1:2:4) with bitumen coating.
5. Brick masonry (1:6) CSM in superstructure.
6. 6" thick RCC slab (1:2:4).
7. 3/4" thick plaster in (1:4) CSM on walls.
8. 1/2" thick plaster in (1:4) CSM on ceiling.
9. 1/2" thick terrazzo over 4" PCC in floor.
10. Joinery is of 1st class Deodar wood.

You have to fill in the data regarding area after calculating once you complete the drawings. Also mention the scale on
which each drawing is to be plotted on drawing sheet in the title block. Every student has to submit copy of at least one
drawing of any actual building project along with this assignment. You can also work on the isometric drawing of this
project as practice for exam.
