Instructions for teachers:

1. Give each student one of the blank dating profile handouts.

2. Tell them each to choose an animal, and without letting anyone know, complete the
profile for their animal. We have provided a couple of examples below, and you could
share one with your students before they do their own - alternatively, complete one
together on the board.
3. Set up tables and chairs in pairs and everyone sits with a partner.
4. Have students nominate an A and a B.
5. Give students two minutes to find out as much about their partner as they can.
6. After two minutes ring a bell, blow a whistle or clap your hands.
7. Tell A’s to stay where they are and B’s to find a new partner.
8. Repeat a number of times with A’s and B’s alternating who is moving.
9. Get students into a circle to discuss which animals seemed to pair up well - and if the
feelings were mutual!
