BranzMart Loan Sharks offer vehicle loans to customers across the Jamaica.

You are a loans officer at a


BranzMart and you are contracted to create an Excel worksheet to automate the daily processes.

1. Create a workbook called LoanShark_yourname and populate Sheet 1 with the following
headers. Format the Headers with 2 formatting features. Rename sheet 1 Loans.

TRN, First name, Last Name, Gender, Town, Parish, Year Made, Vehicle Make, Vehicle Model, Vehicle
Type, Vehicle Cost, Number of months to repay the loan.

NB – BranzMart Loan Sharks do not service loans for vehicles over 6 years old. Customers have a
maximum of 5 years to repay.

2. Populate the worksheet with 30 customers from various parishes(the parishes you select must
all belong to one county), wanting loans for the following vehicle types: Sedan, Bus, Truck,
Motor Bike, SUV, Hatchback 2marks

3. Insert an appropriate title above the Headings with 3 OTHER formatting features. 2marks

4. Create a new sheet in the workbook called Loan Interest_Your Name. This will list all the vehicle
types, a description of the vehicle type and their corresponding Loan interest rates offered.

5. Insert a new column Called Interest that will use the vlookup function to insert the interest rate
based on the vehicle type. 2marks
6. Insert a new column Called Interest Amount that will use the PMT function to calculate the
monthly interest to be paid by each customer. Make sure this value turns out positive. 2marks
7. Insert a new column called Total Interest that will show the total interest to be paid at the end
of the loan payment period. 2marks

8. Insert a new column that will give the following discounts (HINT USE IF Function)

a. All Sedans will get a 10% discount on the total interest to be paid 2marks

9. Sort the spreadsheet on Vehicle Type then by Vehicle Make 1mark

10. In a new sheet called YourFirstName_Gender and create an advanced filter of all the customers
who are your own binary gender. The criteria should be displayed at the top with a Border
around it. 4marks
