Signal analysis
Find using MATLAB: The resultant signal in the time-domain, then get the
frequency-domain for it, for the following cases:
1) The resultant of two harmonics having different amplitudes and the
same frequencies.
2) The resultant of two harmonics having different amplitudes and the first
frequency is very close to the second frequency (⍵𝟏 ≈ ⍵𝟐 ).
3) The resultant of two harmonics having different amplitudes and
different frequencies (⍵𝟏 ≫ ⍵𝟐 ).
4) The resultant of 10 harmonics with the same amplitudes and different
frequencies as follows: (⍵𝟏 , ⍵𝟐 = 𝟐⍵𝟏 , ⍵𝟑 = 𝟑⍵𝟏 , … … . ⍵𝟏𝟎 =
𝟏𝟎⍵𝟏 ) 𝒓𝒂𝒅/𝒔𝒆𝒄.
5) The resultant of 10 harmonics with different amplitudes and different
frequencies as follows: (⍵𝟏 , ⍵𝟐 = 𝟐⍵𝟏 , ⍵𝟑 = 𝟑⍵𝟏 , … … . ⍵𝟏𝟎 =
𝟏𝟎⍵𝟏 ) 𝒓𝒂𝒅/𝒔𝒆𝒄.
6) The resultant of 10 harmonics with different amplitudes and different
frequencies randomly.

Notes:
• Harmonics are sines or cosines.
• You should assume all amplitudes and frequencies for all signals.
• You should assume the time range in which the graphs will be clearly
visible.
• For each graph, give an appropriate title, legend, x-label, and y-label.
• Upload one m-file that contains all the problems.
• Upload one pdf, and for each case, include the case name, MATLAB code,
and results in graphs.
