Talking about a song : The Haging Tree

The Hanging Tree is a rewritten song for the Hunger Games saga, it is used
as a symbol of the revolution because it is sung by Katniss, because it is a heavy
song and talks about the horrors of the capital and gives hope to those who fought in
that war and so it has more impact, this song was famous all over the time with
Katniss but the song came out much earlier and recently a new book was released
that tells the story of the story of this song but mainly tells about President Snow and
his traged.
To begin with, I will have to give a brief summary of the work the ballad of
songbirds and snakes. The book is about the young Snow Corilanos, he was
responsible for helping a girl win the hunter games named Lucy Gray, a circus arts
girl where her circus group lived with the Covey where she is the singer. When she
returns home after the games, he finds her ex-boyfriend who asks her to run away
with him, writing this song.
Now I'm going to break down the song, the first verse read Are you, are you
Coming to the tre, which is the moment when Billy Taupe calls Lucy to run away with
him and the gallows tree would be their meeting, opening a caveat the gallows tree
was used for the execution of those whom the capital called rebels and so it would
be the perfect meeting point because no one liked it, so it was empty.
Second verse Where they strung up a man they say who murdered three
shortly before Billy composes the song he hears an execution in that tree, the
execution of Arlo a worker in the mines who is said to have killed three
peacekeepers and as he was about to die he screamed to his beloved Jill to run
away which will be quoted in the next verse,Where the dead man called out
For his love to flee.
The rest of the song is just Billy calling Lucy to run away with him, but there's
a verse that was modified, where it said Wear a necklace of hope and in the original
it was said a rope necklace because Billy was willing to die rather than live under the
repression of the Capitol.
It's an important song for me because it's part of a literary saga that I love that
moved me a lot due to all the events around, I cried when I read this song coming
out of Lucy's mouth. It's a song that stuck in my mind for a long time and with great
complexity.
