Critique for the initiative develop by group 7 on “Early Diagnosis of Breast Cancer in

Trivandrum, Kerala”
From Donor point of view, the initiative and logical frame work developed by group 8 was quiet
impressive. They were able to provide a good background and information about their initiative.
They are quiet clear with their vision and the objective of their project. The alignment with FIAP
(Feminist International Assistance Policy) is clearly justified and noticeable.
However, the alignment with the project with GAC development priorities are not clearly
specified. The project is more inclined to Canadian Feminist International Assistance Policy
(CFIAP) and less with Global Canada Affair (GAC).
Not only tentative project duration is missing but also there is the absence of project budget. The
initiative has failed to allocate the budget.

Form the professor point of view, the strongest aspect of their initiative is that logical frame
work is developed very well. The activities and outcomes mentioned in logic framework are
consistence with their initiative. They were able to build and follow the relationship between
their output, activities and outcomes till the end. They have made it clear on how gap exist and
how they are going to bridge those gaps in the project. Moreover, they are clear with the targets
and facilitators. Also the way they have constructed the structure of the framework is brief and
understandable.
Similarly, as the project has to be sustainable, there is not mention the sustainability of the
project as well as the plan on what role will the community play after the project in the future.

In term of academic writing, the initiative is written in the simple and understandable form. In
our opinion, there could be done a slight elaboration on the logical frame work so that the output
and outcome would be more visible. Yet, the structure is constructed in a simple and short way
that anyone can easily understand. However, we felt that, there is lack of APA 7 th edition citation
and should work on it. Also, cover page would look a bit fair if the students named and Id were
organized in a vertical way.
Although, there are few section that needs the improvisation. The overall initiative was
informative and reflects the need of awareness about the breast cancer and really opened our
eyes to realise that there are some areas still hidden and unnoticed which government and
international organization should focus.
