FINAL EXAMINATION

Description:

Our usual task is to call applicants, screen their resumes, and conduct initial interview. I was able
to call one applicant but did not answer. Later, I received a call from the applicant's parent
informing me that their daughter had applied for the position of Unit Head Manager despite
having a disability (she is Deaf) and was genuinely eager to work for the company. Her mother
explained her daughter’s situation and also told me her daughter’s achievements and experiences
in professional field.

Feelings:

I was surprised because the applicant has an exceptional resumé. Despite her disability she
accomplished many things and was able to work and became a manager in her previous
company. I was really hopeful that our senior manager would allow me to conduct an initial
interview with her. It was also sad knowing that she has a little to no chance of getting hired in
the company I am working in.
Evaluation:

This is both good and bad experience for me. It was a good experience because I had a chance to
hear a successful story first hand from someone with a disability. It was a bad experience
because I felt bad for not calling her again for an initial interview because my senior manager did
not respond from our inquiry regarding her situation.

Analysis:

Since our Senior Manager did not respond with my inquiry about the applicant's condition. I did
not proceed with her initial interview, instead I contacted the applicant and apologize. I told her
that I have to follow the company policy.

Conclusion:

I may have inquired about the candidates' condition more than once with our senior manager.
Since she was a great manager for many years according to her résumé, her condition won't be a
big concern. In her previous company, she is working with around 30 employees and they are
under her management. She also graduated with Latin Honor and have so much achievement. I
really think that she is a strong candidate for the position considering her long managerial
experience.

Action Plan:

If this circumstance arose once again, I would give the applicant an opportunity to be
interviewed and would continually ask our senior manager if I needed to. She deserves the same
opportunities as everyone else. Her impairment does not contribute to her flaws or
disadvantages. She is capable of performing tasks as effectively as individuals who doesn’t have
disability.

Hi, I am Christine Marl G. Oroyan, an incoming 4th year Psychology student in CEU-Makati. So
let me show you what I usually do as an AXA Philippines Intern assigned in Recruitment Team
whenever I am not assigned as the Caller of the day.

Every morning I would log-in in our group chat. This will

serve as our attendance and our guide in counting the
hours we render.

Our first task is job posting. We are tasked to

post in group pages using our own account. We
are required to post 5 for Unit Head Manager, 5 for Financial Advisor and 5 for Interns.

After our Job Posting we are tasked to do articles, captions or posters about business. A google
document would be sent in our group chat with an instruction from our senior manager. Below
are the examples of our output.
If we are tasked to write an article, we have to check it using plagiarism checker and Grammarly.
After our activities, we’ll have to log-out in our Group chat by 6:00pm (Regular hours) or
8:00pm (Overtime)
Now let me show you what I usually do as an AXA Philippines Intern assigned in Recruitment
Team whenever I am the Caller of the day.

As our usual morning routine, we have to log-in in our

group chat and our daily job posting.

As a caller of the day, our first task is to call the applicants regarding their next-level scheduled
interview, after that we have to inform our senior manager if the attendance of the applicants.

After this, we proceed to calling applicants for their initial interview. We have to screen their
resumes first to see if they are applying for financial advisor or for unit head manager.
THIS IS OUR RECRUITMENT TRACKER
If we qualified an applicant, we have to set their scheduled interview through Calendly.

After setting their schedule, we have to make an assessment.

We are also required to update our calls every 11:00 am, 2:30 pm and lastly 4pm.

Our last task would be checking the ASANA and making sure that AXA Gmail has no unread
emails

Again, after our activities, as COTD we’ll have to log-out in our Group chat by 6:00pm (Regular
