Geminoa Guide

1-2 players

Setup
-Each player takes a corresponding deck and player board along with a life stone and dice for
tracking their shield and mana attributes. The decks are identical except for character artwork.
-Begin the game with 20 life, 2 shield, and 0 mana. Shuffle your deck.
-The first player draws 3 cards, and the second draws five.

Card types
All cards are either Sword (red), Magic (blue), Support (green), or Summon (black) type as
indicated in the upper lefthand corner. Summon and magic cards may have costs listed below
their type. In order to use the card, you must reduce your mana by that amount.

Attacks and summons


There are two types of attacks in Geminoa. Physical attacks first reduce the opponent’s shield
then any remaining damage reduces their life. Magic attacks directly reduce the opponent’s life.

Summon cards are placed in the summon area when played and remain in play from turn to turn,
effects activating when their conditions are met.

Channeling and removal areas


Channelling allows cards to be kept permanently in your channeling area to perform effects
every turn by tapping (you must still pay mana costs). Summon cards cannot be channeled. You
may only have 1 channeled card for every 7 removed cards. Channeled cards are not considered
“in play”, but are still part of your play area.

Removal allows cards to be trashed from your deck into your removal area. Channeled cards
may be removed, but they will simply be turned face down in the channeling area without
opening up space for another channeled card.

On your turn (in order)


-Set your shield to 2.
-In any order and as many times as you would like:
● Play cards from your hand or tap cards in your channeling area to use their effects.
● Choose a card in your hand or play area and place it in your channeling area. If in play,
the channeled card enters your channeling area tapped.
-You may choose up to two cards in your hand and play area and remove them (on the first
player’s first turn, only 1 card may be removed during this step).
-Discard all cards in play and unused cards from your hand then draw five new cards, shuffling
your discard pile to create a new deck if needed. Untap your channeled cards. If there are no
cards remaining in your deck or discard pile after this step, your opponent loses 4 life.

Other details
If any cards have you refer to your deck and there aren’t enough cards there or the deck is empty,
finish revealing or drawing any remaining cards then shuffle your discard pile to create a new
deck and complete the action.

Both players discard piles are public information. Additionally, you may reference your own
deck. After checking your deck, reshuffle it. If a card had been specifically placed on top of the
deck due to a card effect, make sure to put it back in that spot.

Instant cards may be played normally during your own turn or during an opponent’s turn when
its conditions are met. They remain in play until your next discard phase.

The maximum value for life is 20. The maximum value for shield and mana is 9.

Game end
When a player reduces their opponent’s life to zero, they win the game.

Solo Mode
Setup and play normally as Firvia, giving the NPC Cherione except for their deck which may be
returned to the box. Instead, randomly select one of each of the Lv. 1, 4, and 7 NPC cards (as
depicted on the card backs) and place them face down next to the Cherione playerboard. The
others may be returned to the box. You are the first player.

On Cherione’s turn
-​Set her shield to 2.
-​Increase her mana, referred to as her mana level, by 1. When she reaches manal level 1, 4, or 7
for the first time, reveal her corresponding card.
-All revealed cards are executed in order starting with the lowest mana level as shown in the top
right corner.
不浄録 (Fujou-roku/Impurity) - ​No effect.

Sword

聖光斬 (Seikou zan/Holy Light Slash) - ​Physical attack (X), where X is equal to the number of
Sword cards in your channeling area +1.

精霊斬 (Seirei zan/Spirit Slash) - ​If you have 5 or more mana, Physical attack (3)

葬送斬 (Sousou zan/Funeral Slash) ​- If there are 3 or more Sword cards in your removal area,
Physical attack (3)

斬撃 (Zangeki/Slash) - ​Physical attack (2)

Magic

紅蓮咲き (Guren saki/Crimson Lotus Blossom) - ​Magic attack (X), where X is equal to your
mana after paying the cost of this card.

影唄 (Kage uta/Shadow Song) - ​Lose 2 life, then Magic attack (2)

閃花 (Senka/Flash Blossom) - ​Choose one of the following: Magic attack (1) or pick a card
from your hand, play area, or discard pile and remove it.

Summon

幻灯竜 (Gentou ryuu/Magic Lantern Dragon) - ​Whenever your deck becomes empty: Magic
attack (2)

星鯨 (Hoshi kujira/Star Whale) - ​At the beginning of your turn, gain 1 mana. You may pay 8
mana during your turn to win the game.

風纏い (Kazematoi/Wind) - ​At the beginning of your turn, if your life is 3 or more higher than
your opponent’s, they lose 1 life.

夢食み (Yumehami) - ​At the beginning of your turn you may remove a card from your hand. If
you do, lose 1 life and draw a card.
Support

ファルカタの加護 (Falcata kago/Falcata Blessing) -​ [Instant (when an opponent plays a


physical attack)] Shield +3

ハイゼルドの信仰 (Heiseld no shinkou/Heiseld Faith) - ​Choose one of the following: Gain 1


mana or lose 2 life then draw two cards or discard all cards in your deck.

綻びる蜜月 (Hokorobiru mitsugetsu/Blooming Intimacy) - ​Choose one of the following:


Gain 1 mana or gain 2 mana and remove this card or gain 3 life and remove this card.

落日の悟り (Rakujistu no satori/Sunset Enlightenment) - ​Choose one of the following: Gain


1 mana or draw a card then place a card from your hand on top of your deck or choose a card in
your hand, play area, or discard pile and remove it.

夜想​秘儀 (Yasou higi/Nocturne Ritual) - ​You may discard two cards from your hand. If you
do, damage dealt to your opponent by magic damage is increased by 1 this turn.

Mana Lv. 1

亜麻色の加護 (Amairo no kago/Flaxen Blessing)​ - Shield +3

惑いなき信仰 (Madoi naki shinkou/Faith without Delusion) ​- Increase Cherione’s mana level
by 1 then discard this card.

Mana Lv. 4

剣術構成 (Kenjutsu kosei/Swordsmanship Form) - ​Physical attack (X), where X is equal to


Cherione’s mana level +1.

魔術構成 (Majutsu kosei/Magic Form) ​- Magic attack (3)

Mana Lv. 7

星の夜の詩学 (Hoshi no yori no shigaku/Starry Night Poetics)​ - Shield +2 then Magic attack
(1)

在りし日の光​ ​(Arishi hi no hikari/Vision of the Past)​- Shield +2. When this card is first
revealed, Cherione gains 3 life.
