PTE - PLACEMENT TEST - ASSESSMENT CRITERIA

GRAMMAR AND VOCAB ASSESSMENT

This Placement Test is designed to help the teacher to place students at the right level of the
course. The test contains 100 multiple-choice questions and is designed to last for an hour.
The test covers the language taught in our PTE course.
• Part A (items 1–25) covers material qualified level Elementary A1
• Part B (items 26–50) covers material from qualified level Pre-Intermediate A2
• Part C (items 51–75) covers knowledge qualified level Intermediate B1
• Part D (items 76–100) covers knowledge qualified level Upper-Intermediate B2
Each part of the test should be graded separately so that a learner would gain a separate score out of 25 on
each test. The pass grade for each test is 18/25.
