FABM WW - Lesson 4 - Types of Business according to activities

Look around your community or village and identify a business that manufactures its own products.
(No need to go out, being a resident in your community think of a someone with that kind of
business.) - State his/her name and products - 10pts

A cousin of my best friend started a business during this pandemic, his name is Mark Francis Perico,
and he started selling baked goods. At his own home, he bakes the pastries and goodies he sells. He
also made a Facebook page called Bake Life Ph to promote his products. On that page, he posts
pictures and descriptions of the baked pastries. And he lets the customers know what day they can
pre-order the baked goods by posting the date on the page. Mark's business aims to serve freshly
baked pastries and goodies that would sate the appetite of its customer and bring happiness by
producing budget-friendly products with assured high-quality taste and standards. The products sold
by Bake Life Ph are banana loaf, apple loaf, carrot bread, and classic brownies. Mark buys raw
products like eggs, flour, milk, banana, peanuts, carrots, apples, and many more raw ingredients to
make the pastries. And those baked pastries and goods are either picked up or delivered by Mark
himself when he has the time he rides his motor to deliver his products. The good thing is that if you
live around Anabu, the delivery fee is free.

In your opinion, what do you think are the advantages of being able to come up with a product? -

In my opinion, there are many advantages to being able to come up with a product. First, the product
you will do is within your expertise because a person who will make his/her product will surely know
how to do it. When a business starter sells a product he/she doesn't know how to do, there's no
guarantee that the product being sold is of great quality. And for a business to be successful, your
products should be up to the customers' standards, so that they will buy more of your product.
Second, making your product will allow you to think of something new, something you want to do and
enjoy doing, or something unique to introduce to the marketplace. In business, it is important to be
unique and stand out more than others. Because a lot of people does business and so there are many
competitors in the business field. So coming up with your unique product will give your business a big
plus, especially that customers may like the idea of new things to buy. Lastly, being able to come up
with a product will allow you to have full control of it. Because you get to decide the process the
product will undergo and its final look.
