EXAM TIPS!

(Tried and tested - these are from a fellow Cambridge Best Across / High Achiever!)

Prioritize Key Topics: Make sure to cover all the key topics in each subject. Your schedule is
designed to help you focus on Chemistry and Math, but don't forget to allocate time for the
other subjects as well. This is why we have added others too; leaving one day up to your
choice to catch up on what’s left out!

Practice Regularly: Regular practice is essential. Make use of practice papers AND mark
schemes to get familiar with the format and types of questions you may encounter.

Understand the Marking Scheme: Knowing how marks are allocated can help you answer
questions more effectively. Spend more time on questions with higher marks. Most of the
Science Theory Questions are repeated each year - memorize them. So the next time
someone asks you: “What’s a weak acid?” Your answer should match the mark scheme.

Manage Your Time: Practice time management in your study sessions and during exam
practice. This will help you pace yourself during the actual exam.

Stay Healthy: Your physical and mental well-being is important. Make sure to get enough
sleep, eat well, and take short breaks during study sessions to stay refreshed.

Ask for Help: If you're struggling with a topic, don’t hesitate to ask for help. THE GPA GYM is
here for you, and we offer very low cost, affordable tutoring, especially for O Level Math and
Chemistry which guarantees an A*

Positive Attitude: Keep a positive mindset. Believe in your capabilities and remember that
mistakes are a part of learning. Learn from them and move forward.

Review Mistakes: After practicing, go through the mistakes you made and understand why
you made them. This will help prevent you from repeating them in the exam.

Summarize Information: Create summary notes for each topic. These will be handy for quick
revision closer to the exam.

Relax Before the Exam: The night before the exam, ensure you have a good night's sleep. On
the day of the exam, have a light meal, and take deep breaths to calm any nerves.

Best of luck!
