REACTION PAPER

The seminar held on November 19, 2023, addressing the issue of aiding cervical cancer,
has indeed shed light on a critical health concern often overlooked by women. The alarming
nature of this condition, coupled with limited access and affordability of vaccinations, presents a
significant barrier to Filipino women. The seminar played a pivotal role in raising awareness and
providing valuable insights into avenues for seeking assistance if one suspects early signs of
cervical cancer. By equipping women with knowledge and resources, the seminar becomes a
catalyst for proactive healthcare measures, emphasizing the importance of early detection and
timely intervention.

Shifting focus, the significance of neonatal resuscitation was underscored in the

seminar, serving as a vital reference for ensuring the safety and well-being of newborns.
Recognizing that proper resuscitation techniques can be instrumental in saving the lives of
neonates, the seminar contributes to building essential skills and knowledge among healthcare
professionals and caregivers. This emphasis on neonatal resuscitation not only reinforces the
value of preparedness in emergency situations but also underscores the potential to make a
positive impact on the lives of many newborns on a daily basis.

The students demonstrated exceptional poise and engagement throughout the seminar,
showcasing their keen intellect and enthusiasm for learning. Their insightful contributions and
active participation underscored their commitment to academic excellence. Overall, their

During the seminar on November 26, 2023, the imperative of breaking the silence
combating voiceless battle from within became a focal point of discussion. Delving into the
profound topic of depression, participants sought answers on how to navigate and declutter their
minds amidst this pervasive mental health challenge. The topic extended beyond merely
understanding depression's distinctions from other mental illnesses to exploring the profound
impact it can have on one's life. This resonated deeply with a significant demographic of young
individuals who often find themselves voiceless, unable to articulate their feelings due to societal
misunderstandings.

The seminar underscored the urgent need to recognize and support those suffering with
depression, emphasizing that their lives and aspirations hold intrinsic value. This awareness
paved the way for a seamless transition into the second seminar theme: strengthening
community building and resilience. Acknowledging that a supportive community plays a
pivotal role in empowering individuals, the discussion unfolded into strategies for communities
to become companions for everyone, not just those dealing with depression. By fortifying
community bonds, the collective can extend a helping hand to those in need, fostering a resilient
environment where individuals, regardless of their struggles, can find the understanding and
assistance required for recovery.

The students demonstrated exceptional proficiency in managing the seminar, showcasing

their dedication to excellence as aspiring nurses. Their organizational skills, teamwork, and
enthusiasm were truly commendable, reflecting a promising future in the field of nursing. In
summary, their performance contributed significantly to the success of the seminar.

The seminar on "Awakening Minds and Transforming Lives: Fighting Alzheimer’s

Together" resonates deeply with me as well, given the personal connection with my grandfather
who battles Alzheimer's. The challenges faced by relatives, including bouts of irritability during
basic care routines, highlight the immense toll this disease takes on both patients and their
caregivers. The daily struggle to connect with a loved one who may not recognize you is
emotionally taxing. This topic serves as not only a source of understanding for those undergoing
similar experiences but also as motivation for me to pursue a career in nursing, aspiring to
provide compassionate care to Alzheimer's patients and support their families in navigating the
complexities of this condition.

Switching gears, the seminar on "Empower Your Kidney, Empower Your Life"
addresses a critical aspect of overall health. The prevalence of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) in
the Philippines is alarming, affecting individuals of all ages. Recognizing the importance of
kidney health and proactively empowering individuals to care for this vital organ is essential.
With CKD on the rise, this seminar becomes a platform to educate the community about
preventative measures, lifestyle choices, and early detection. By fostering awareness and
promoting kidney health, the seminar aims not only to address the current concerns but also to
contribute to a healthier future for individuals in the Philippines.

A heartfelt appreciation goes out to the dedicated teams responsible for organizing the seminar
on this topic. Their unwavering commitment is evident in the wealth of knowledge they've
imparted, sourced from outstanding speakers and clinical instructors who spared no effort in
delivering excellence.
