II. RATIONALE
The seminar titled "Fostering Resilience: A Seminar on Teenage Pregnancy
Prevention for the Modern Youth" is a direct response to the recent Training Needs
Assessment conducted on March 23-24 at Sitio Banate, Baranggay Kidalapong. The
assessment revealed a significant lack of awareness and understanding among the
youth about teenage pregnancy. This was evident from the score of 7.8 on the Liker
scale, which represents "disagree," indicating that the participants were not familiar
with the subject matter.

This gap in knowledge and understanding necessitates an immediate and

comprehensive intervention to equip our youth with the necessary understanding,
tools, and strategies to prevent teenage pregnancy. The seminar aims to address
this need by fostering resilience and empowering our youth to make informed
decisions regarding their reproductive health.

Through this seminar, we hope to provide the youth with a safe and
supportive platform to discuss and understand the complexities of teenage
pregnancy, thereby enabling them to make well-informed decisions for their future.
By focusing on resilience, the seminar underscores the importance of mental and
emotional strength in navigating the challenges of adolescence, particularly in the
context of sexual and reproductive
health. The seminar will provide strategies for building resilience and will highlight
the role of resilience in preventing teenage pregnancy.
