SUMMER HOLIDAY’S HOME WORK

Do all the questions of each subject neatly on A-4 sized sheets, unless specified.

ENGLISH
Q.1) Learn and write two new poems based on green trees or toys. Write them on separate
sheets with colourful pictures.
Q.2) Purchase a cursive writing book and practice one page daily.
Q.3) Make a colourful story book of 10 pages based on animal characters. On every page
show your creativity by adding colours in the drawing and writing beautifully about
them.
Q.4) Make four flash cards either on Opposite words or Gender. For making the flash cards,
follow the instructions given below:-
(a) Use pastel sheet as a base material
(b) Size of flash cards – 14 cm X 10 cm
(c) Pictures must be drawn or pasted on it.
(d) The words should be in bold letters.
Q.5) Read any one book from the list given below:-
(a) Any story (Panchtantra)
(b) Chotta Bheem
(c) Aladdin
Make a word bank of new words you have read in the story and write their meanings
too in an alphabetical order.

Q1. Write down the date of birth of your 10 friends, then colour the odd numbers with yellow and even
numbers with red.
Q2. Visit a nearby park and observe the things like trees, benches, swing, dustbin, flowers. Tabulate the
data as follows:-

Q3. Observe the pattern and find the missing numbers?

Q4. Check the refrigerator of your home. Prepare a chart showing names of vegetables and number of
vegetables, as given below:-

Q5. Note down first 3 numbers of any 5 vehicles and write down what will come after and before those
numbers?

Q6. Write tables from 2 to 8.

Q1. Make your own menu chart including healthy and nutritious food items on a pastel
sheet.
Q2. Collect small pictures of different coloured clothes and make a collage on chart paper,
using fevicol for pasting.
Q3. List out the activities in which your mother uses water.
Q4. Make a menu chart of your family members of 10 days. Tabulate this data and infer from
it what do they like to eat. Check whether they are vegetarian or non-vegetarian?
Q5. Collect and paste 5 things which help you to maintain you hygiene (things used for
personal hygiene.)
Q6. Write a poem on “family” or “my house” and learn it.

Q1. Write the various uses of plants in our day to day lives.
Q2. Visit a nearby garden and classify the plants you see there in different
categories.Give two examples of each type.
Q3. Collect pictures of different domestic animals and paste them in your scrap book
under different headings such as food-giving animals, load carrying animals and
leather giving animals.
Q4. Visit a vegetable market with your parents and find out the different parts of
plants that we eat as food in our daily lives.
Q5. Write a short story on a visit to a farm. Write some animals that you had seen
there, where they were kept and the kind of food they ate. You can use words given
in the box:

States )or UT.

Q3:-Find out different beverages available in the market to beat the heat. Make a list
of them, note down their compositions and choose the best three. Give reason of
Choice.
