Summer Holidays Assignment (Class VII)

English
1. Make a poster to advertise local and organic foods mentioning where they come from and why they
are good for you. Draw/ Paste related pictures on A- 4 size sheet.
2. Create a memory book of the best moments of the summer break. Write few lines about these
memories. Decorate your memory book with a colourful cover.
3. Prepare a chart on Parts of speech.
4. Read Chapter – Bringing up Kari and Golu grows a nose from your supplementary book and find
answers of comprehension check.

Mathematics
1. Learn tables 6 to 19. Write and Practice them.
2. Watch the Movie “RAMANUJAN” on YouTube and write about his contribution in the field of
Mathematics. Also mention the name of theories that he has given to the world of mathematics.
3. Google the “name of the mathematicians who have got the noble prize”. Write the name of any 5
mathematicians from the list and also mention the work for which they’ve got the noble prize.
4. Download and watch the movie “The man who knew Infinity”. Write the 10 things that you liked
the most. Write two ideas which inspired you to study Mathematics.
5. What is Mean or Arithmetic mean? Write about it. Write the Minimum and Maximum temperature
of your area from the newspaper or internet. Find Mean of ‘Maximum’ Temperatures and
Minimum temperatures for 15 days.
6. How many family members do you have? Write their names, their relation with you and their ages.
Also find their Mean and Median ages.
7. Review Chapter 1 (Integers) and Chapter 2 (Fractions and Decimals). Be ready for a welcome ‘Class
Test’ on 10th July 2023.

Science
1. Draw poster on: Conservation of plants.
2. Prepare a timeline for the different inventions and discoveries made in the field of time
measurement.
3. Make a sand clock. (using plastic bottles and cardboard)
4. Plant a tree and water it daily. Nurture it to ensure its survival.
5. Read each chapter daily from the syllabus of Term-1.

Social science

1. Revise the following chapters and their exercises completed till now: Environment, Tracing Changes
through a Thousand Years, On Equality.
2. Read and find out ten new words each and their meanings (you can use dictionary, but not
GOOGLE) of the following chapters: Inside Our Earth, The Delhi Sultans.
3. Prepare a map of India showing all our neighbouring countries in different colours and write their
names and capitals.
4. Prepare a map of India with names of all the States and their Capitals.
5. Prepare a colorful chart on any one of these topics: Components of Environment, Interior of the
Earth, Rock Cycle.

French
1. Make a scrap file to show the following information about France.
Paste pictures and give brief information.

2. Briefly explain about Windows Excel and its uses.
3. What is the use of functions in excel? Give any 5 examples.
4. What is MS Access? Explain the use of this software.
5. Make a collage on different types of computers.

2. Write names of Indians who have won medals in the Olympics and in which sports. Also find their
photographs. Paste them in your holiday’s homework notebook.

4. Name the seven wonders of the world. In which countries are they located? Prepare a collage using
pictures of the seven wonders of the world on an A4 Sheet.
