Assessment.docx ~ Nine of the eleven students who were given the assessment met the criteria, My focus group's grading criteria was different from the whole group. They were required to work on a topic sentence. They accomplished this requirement resulting in a one hundred percent. - Ethan, Ulani, Enya, Yaman, Alex, Jonthan, Bibi, Gorank, and Ruhika achieved the learning objective/ The objective was: Write opinions about a topic or text with reasons supported by details from a source, use transitions, and provide a conclusion. - The read aloud | incorporated improved the engagement of my focus students including the whole group. They were engaged and were able to understand the concept of how to support your opinion with reasons and examples. - Myassessment did give me the information needed to use to assess my student’s knowledge of the objective. = For the students the learning objectives | would have them expand on their writing. This could look like improving their introduction sentence and expanding their conclusion, It could also look like adding reasons and examples. For the students who did not | would like to pull in a small group and reteach. The students who did not meet the objective were having a hard time writing examples that related to the reason. | believe they just need some clarification. #2 Planning for the success of ELL students: Explicitly describe the instruction and assessment you planned to meet the needs of ELL students.
