The first opinion is about the negative effects video games have on individuals and society.

It
exposes how violent video games have very heavy downsides, like the proliferation of bullying
among children they cause, based on the fact that violent acts get rewarded in these games. It
also points out how video games are time-consuming and its effect on school performance.
Finally, it talks about how American children’s obesity is greatly caused by video games and
how children spend more time in front of a screen than practicing physical activities.

The second opinion is about how these claims condemning video games are inaccurate. It
firstly says that studies correlating violent video games and real life violence are old and not
statistically valuable due to their small number of participants. It also points out how better
studies suggest that violent video games reduce real life aggression. Secondly, it talks about
how educational video games don’t affect kids’ school performance. And, in most cases, video
games are a great tool for learning. Lastly, it says that child obesity is very complex and caused
by various factors, not greatly by video games. And that there are also video games that
require physical activity.
Honesty is always the best policy means that the best approach to a situation is to say and act
based on how things really are because you cannot build something solid not based on the
truth. I agree with the statement for the following reasons.

Firstly, I think that honesty is the main pillar of trust. Trust is one of the most valuable and
fragile things someone might possess, trust is very important for people to build great
relationships and boost things like morale and self-confidence. Being dishonest is one of the
quickest ways to lose trust from someone.

Secondly, humanity has always faced many hardships to move forward, many of them being
due to the dishonesty of someone or a group of people. Many great advances were delayed
due to people in power not being truthful about stuff. But, when the truth eventually came
out, great discoveries and advances were made.

Lastly, being honest is a great display of courage. There wouldn’t be that big of a fuss about
honesty and telling the truth if it was easy to be honest. And while it may seem obvious from
an outside point of view that the truth is the no-brainer way to go, it actually takes effort to be
honest.
