Dear admission committee,

I am Muhammad Noman, a Pakistani quantum information and computation master's degree

holder from the "University of Malakand" (Pakistan). Following the completion of my master's
degree in January 2020, I was able to produce 3 research articles which have been published in
international journal.
I became excited to apply for PhD student in Experimental Quantum communication: Generation
of high dimensional entangled states. After learning about the project, and I became enthusiastic
to further my education in the field of computing in the aforementioned project. I've honed my
skills in research methodology, quantum computing, and programming languages like
Mathematica, Matlab, Latex, and other design software. The driving factors behind my
application are my qualifications for this position (both educational and research-based). Overall,
I have four years of research experience in the field of quantum information and computation
with the quantum information and computation team at the University of Malakand.

I share a lot of research interests and experience with this summer school, which is one of the
reasons for my application. We were almost in the same information processing regime, both
classical and quantum. Aside from the project's theme, which piqued my interest and prompted me
to apply, I've worked on open quantum systems and classical and non-classical environmental
models in the past. Apart from maintaining my interest in the project's theme, the current position
is an excellent match for both my previous research experience and my future research objectives.
In addition, after completing my program, I am keen to continue my studies at a University for
doctoral studies. After completing the postdoctoral programme, I would like to contribute my
teaching skills to the quantum world, or I would be happy to supervise students at a Pakistani
institute and contribute to the advancement of current quantum mechanical protocols and related
quantum technologies.
