What is Database Management System

DBMS represent as Data Base Management System. That grant to view our data or
collaborate with them. Also, we can you them to store our data for long term without
losing any data. In modern world there’s some GUI tools for available to user to view
database such as Workbench, Hedi SQL, Navicert etc. also database can use queries to
retrieve data, delete data on DB, add data to DB, merge data from another table etc.

Evolution of Database Management Systems

In the beginning scenery of modern DBMS (Database Management Systems) there are
advance and secured than past 1960s.back to 1960s they called File System to DBMS
these data are stored in flat files this programming structure used for access to data
but after they realized these systems required complex structure and it was hard to
manage these data. After 1960s some world-wide data scientists they were researched
suitable Database what they would use in 1970s they
discovered Hierarchical Database.as related
hierarchical database consist of hierarchically
arranged data.it similar like family tree parent to child
relationship each parent have many children but in
child side they have only one parent this refer to which
modern concept is one to many relationships. This
structure consists of leveled which is previous files
system’s record each specialized under listed under
type. However, this model is also hard to maintain
because it required more data than flat file’s system.
After Hierarchical Database scientists found there’s
many weaknesses in hierarchical databases after they
realized they want to research better database than Hierarchical Databases. On middle
of 1970 American born Charles Bachman introduced the concept of network
database to the world.
This Database concept is more special than the hierarchical concept That is,
 It can handle many to many relationships
 Like hierarchical databases but network allows to create multiple parent and
child relationships
