COURSE SYLLABUS IN SCIENCE 4
ACADEMIC YEAR 2018-2019

Course Name Science 4

Course Credits 5 Units
Course Description The subject prepares the students hoping that it will enrich their knowledge about things and events happening around
them. It is believed that it will guide them as they learn and explore tier environment.
Each lessons aim to provide them with worthwhile experiences of scientific process. There are hands-on activities which
they have to do and questions for them to answer. As they do these activities, they will discover and acquire new and
meaningful scientific knowledge. Unit tests are included to ensure that they will gain mastery of all topics or attain further
improvement.
It is hoped that this subject will make science learning a more meaningful, challenging, and enjoyable experience for
them.

Prerequisite None
Course Objectives At the end of the academic year, leaners can easily locate and identify the different and important parts of the body. They
can learn the different cause of body ailment and understand the root of the differences of persons in terms of physique.
Learners can go beyond the world of plants and the world of animals. They can investigate the important connection of
the two worlds in order to acquire the knowledge on how to give emphasis of their importance and protect them for a
better world.
Learners can investigate the effects of push or pull on the size, shape, and movement of the object.
Learners can discover the different danger caused by the soil erosion and the ways in order to control it.
Learners can investigate the cause of our unpredictable weather.
Learners can appreciate more the beauty and the wonders of our planet. They can infer the importance of the Sun to life
on Earth.
