Introduction

Nowadays, the Internet has become the first thing that many people use for the following
purposes: work, learning, and entertainment. Which makes the world a small village that
connects people.
Which makes the platforms easier to obtain and use. Most platforms have advantages such as

lot of time and effort, and attract many user groups.
Before the advent of the Internet and its spread throughout the world and its widespread use,
traditional means of communication (magazines and newspapers) lacked some things, such as
reaching the target groups to the largest possible number.

This development has led to a change and diversification in the way information is presented,
news, and even advertising. It has become environmentally friendly, as it has reduced the cutting
of trees to go to factories, then the manufacture of paper and its use in printing books,
newspapers, and even printed advertisements. This has affected the number of workers and
reduced the use of paper. With the natural and chemical resources that go into making it,

Therefore, in this research, I want to compare YouTube and Netflix in terms of target groups and
users.

Youtube ( Videos Platform )

YouTube is a video platform founded in California in 2005 by Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and
John Karim.
The first film shown on the site was an 18-second video clip about John Karim's life entitled:
"I'm at the Zoo." Now the site has become very popular all over the world, prompting TV
channels to use it to reach more viewers.
Gradually, the YouTube platform developed and began to display long video clips containing a
variety of different content, such as cultural, entertainment, and educational videos. From
different places around the world, people can publish videos that contain entertaining moments
or even the educational side, and some resort to Uploading their songs to YouTube in addition to
various music platforms.
YouTube platform ( Videos Platform ) targets many different age groups and audiences which
specializes in providing them with content according to their tastes and what they are looking
for.
Therefore, these statistics are for the targeted age groups on YouTube based on the ( Data

of users aged ( 36 - 45 ) , ( 70% ) of users aged ( 46 - 55 ) and ( 67% ) of users aged ( 56 + ) .

Because YouTube platform ( Videos Platform ) has kept pace with many developments for a
long time and has not stopped at a certain point, but has continued to develop its platform with
every development and update that occurs in the technological world and modern
communication. This is what helped it to remain at the forefront and among the first platforms
chosen to assist and what is needed by its users. around the world ,

internationally. It provides its services under three segments: international streaming, domestic
