DAILY DIARY:
As the day started, we arrived at exactly 7:00 am in the morning in the hospital. All nursing student
gathered at the pavilion for the clinical orientation led by the administrative staff of the institution.
Discussing the rules and policy together with the familiarization of the staffs. Snack is also distributed to
us in which we are thankful since most of us didn’t have their breakfast yet. After the orientation we went
on a tour for us to be familiarize with the different areas in the hospital. Then we settled in an area for us
to conduct our lessons and also keep our valuable things. Taking lunch at exactly 12 noon and continue our
discussion at 1 pm regarding to the fundamentals in communication with elder person since were in geriatric
area. Role playing activity was a task given to us to simulate the NPI in which we analyze a certain situation
given by Ma’am Fely and also practice our communication skills. After the activity we also had a
discussion to the visual acuity test using a chart (Bailey-Lovie Chart) in which we perform several tests
together with my groupmates for us to assess our visual acuity. We also discussed the GNET report in
which we used this for us to conduct the several test in connection with ADL of the patient. After were
oriented we proceed to the patient assigned to us by our CI in which we conduct NPI and an interview for
us to get the data needed for our GNET report. At 5:00 in the afternoon we gather again for us to submit
the GNET report we conducted then evaluated it by our CI. After the evaluation we conduct an open forum
to share our ideas and our learnings during our duty. Then we prepare ourselves for the dismissal and at
exactly 6 pm we leave the area and call it a productive for us.

• Punctuality and respect are a must
• Attitude must be observed
• Follow the rules and policy
