Sashiko Thread
As I introduced in the Domestika Course,
the purpose of Sashiko Thread is to “become”
a part of the fabric after stitching.

To make it happen, the twist of the thread

is one of the most important elements.

Please try our Sashiko to maximize

your Sashiko Experience.

Sashiko Needle
In order to experience “Unshin” I introduce,
the length of 51.5 mm is important.

Also, please remember what was the reason

for Japanese practicing Sashiko.
A needle with big eye can go against
the original purpose of Sashiko.

Thimble (Round)
As long as you can “push” the needle while
moving your needle, any thimble would be ne.

My preferece is round dish - metal - thimble.

You may make your own thimble using
fabric scrap and something hard (like a coin).

Fabric
Unlike the other 3 items, Thread, Needle, and Thimble,
we can use many kinds of fabric.

For that, “any fabric” is ne.

However, in order to maximize our Sashiko experience,
my preference is Cotton 100% & Japanese Woven.
