WWF

The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) is a Swiss organization created in 1961. It
focuses on protecting nature and reducing human harm to the environment. WWF
operates in over 100 countries and supports around 3,000 conservation and
environmental projects. Each year, they run more than 1,200 field projects worldwide.

The WWF logo, featuring a giant panda, comes from a panda named Chi Chi. Chi Chi
was moved from Beijing Zoo to London Zoo in 1958, three years before WWF was
founded. She was the only panda in the Western world at that time and was easily
recognizable due to her distinctive appearance and endangered status. WWF chose
her as their symbol because she could effectively represent their mission across
different languages and cultures.

The rainforest alliance

The Rainforest Alliance is a global organization working in over 70 countries. They

focus on promoting sustainability in agriculture and provide an environmental
certification. They bring together companies, farmers, foresters, communities, and
consumers to create sustainable products.

Their sustainable agriculture program includes training for farmers and certifying
farms of all sizes that grow more than 100 different crops like coffee, tea, cocoa, and
bananas. The Rainforest Alliance seal on these products adds value in the market. For
retailers, it's a mark that shows the crop was grown sustainably, meeting certain
standards.
Sea sheperds

Sea Shepherd is a group of people who work to protect the oceans and the animals
that live in them. They do this by taking direct action against illegal activities like
overfishing and harming whales. They have ships and volunteers who go to sea to
stop these harmful actions.

They are known for their strong and sometimes dramatic actions to defend the
oceans, like confronting illegal fishing boats. Their goal is to make sure the oceans
stay healthy and full of life. They also clean up pollution from beaches and help save
endangered animals like sea turtles.

Sea Shepherd is not connected to any government, and they rely on donations and
volunteers to do their work. They've become well-known for their dedication to
protecting the oceans and the creatures that call them home.
