WWF BRIEFER/REFLECTION

I. SUMMARY

WWF stands for Worldwide Fund who’s originally known as the world wildlife fund
where in 1986 it was changed to highlight the full scope while the United States and Canada
still retain the old name. WWF was formed on April 29, 1961 in Morges, Swtizerland. It’s logo
came from Chi-Chi which is a giant panda that was living at the London Zoo in 1961, the
same year WWF was created. The founders were aware of the need for a strong
recognizable symbol that would ovecome all alguage barriers. It’s mission is to stop
degradation of te planet’s natura environment and build a future in which human live in
harmony with nature by conserving the world’s bological diversity, Ensuring that the use of
renewable natural resources is sustainable, as well as promoting the reduction of pollution
and wasteful consumption. It now operates in 100 countries supported by nearly five million
people worldwide. It protects animals and plants threatened with extenson, not just because
they’re part of a complex chain in which the disappearance of even a single species can
have far reaching consequences.

II. CRITIQUE

They have tackled the many forms of pollution in which it is the source of the
contaminants into te natural environment that cause adverse change and can take the forms
of chemical substances or energy, such as noise, heat or light. In which this pollution
destroying the atmosphere, forests, freshwater habitats, ocean and all which sustain human
life but on the otherhand is the action taken on WWF to take protection for the environment
for both peope and nature. Also it works to improve filipino lives by crafting solutions to
climate change, providing sustainable livelihood programs, and conserving the coutry’s
richest marine and land habitats. WWF in the Philippines has succesfully been implementing
various conservation project to help protect some of the most biological significant
ecosystems in Asia.
III. LEARNING INSIGHTS

WWF is an orgaization that helps protect animal’s life and even our environment which
is a must for us human to live a life together with the beauty of our nature without comprising
the abilty of our future generation in meeting their own needs as they ensure the use of
renewable natural resources to be sustainable for a life that is sustainable not just on
humans but the living things or creatures as well, with preservation and protection of the
wildlife. It is a fund that is not concerned or focused only on living creatures but on
preserving our planet as well through imigating the certain causes of polution which destroys
our atmosphere and all areas of habitats in which it takes action for both people and nature
as they promote the reduction of pollution, that is harmful or has poisonous effect, and
wasteful consumption for a wasteful way of life.
