Peter Waterworth, PhD

Dr. Peter Waterworth is an educational sociologist and was an Associate Professor at Deakin
University, Australia before his retirement.
He has two doctoral degrees – one in sociology from Monash University (1984-nineteen eighty four)
and the second, an honorary doctorate awarded in Thailand (2015-two thousand and fifteen) and
presented by the crown prince of Thailand, in recognition of his educational contribution to Thailand.
Mr. Waterworth has been an academic consultant in a number of countries in South East Asia since
his retirement but mainly in Indonesia and Thailand. He is also a visiting Professor in Research and
Development at a number of universities in Indonesia and Thailand.
