APPLICATION FOR TEACHING POSITION

I am writing to express my interest in the senior secondary teaching position at Saint Andrews
Secondary Schools. I was informed of this opening by the former holder of the position Mr. Christian.
I am a recent graduate of Niger State College of Education Minna. With an awaiting NCE
certificate which validates me to teach higher schoolers in Nigeria. I am passionate about working with
young leaners and helping them reach their full potential because of my understanding of their
psychology. My Major area of study is mathematics and computer. I have a very good hold on almost
all the subject relating to computing and I also have a grip on mathematics.
I would like to highlight some specific qualification that I believe make me a strong candidate
for this position: First I have experiences working with a diverse range of learners and students with
special needs. Secondly, I am skilled in using technology in the classroom including interactive white
board’s computers and online learning platforms.
Thirdly, I have experience working in your school as not to long ago I finished my teaching
practice program there and lastly my father is a pastor and I was raised in a family that values strong
moral principles. I believe that I would provide a positive influence on students and help them develop
their own moral compass.
In addition I have different computer skills that I believe will be an asset in the school.
It is my goal to combine my range of experiences to make a positive contribution in your school.
