1.0 INTRODUCTION

1.1 This EXHIBIT II SECTION C – CONSTRUCTION CONSUMABLES spells out the consumable
materials requirements that CONTRACTOR shall comply with as a minimum for the performance of
the WORK

1.2 In the event of conflicts between two or more documents in the EXHIBITs, the more stringent
requirement shall govern.

1.3 CONTRACTOR has included in the prices and rates as detailed in EXHIBIT III– SCHEDULE OF
PRIC E the full price implication of complying with all requirements listed hereunder.

1.4 For any specifications not detailed herein the CONTRACTOR shall formally request from the
COMPANY in writing prior to commencing the WORK.

4.0 ONSHORE & OFFSHORE PAINTING

1. Unit price for onshore painting shall include all handling, painting, non-destructive testing, air blow, cleaning,
packing, work supervision (i.e. General Supervisors and Foremen) but excludes QC inspection, safety
supervision and surveillance, materials control and logistics coordination.

2. Unit price for supply of paints and related consumables for offshore painting work shall include all handling,
packing, work supervision (i.e. Foremen) and delivery (which for clarity but without limitation shall include
SUPPLY BASE provided transportation and lifting equipment) to SUPPLY BASE for load out to the offshore
WORK SITE but excludes procurement, expediting, QC inspection, safety supervision and surveillance,
materials control and logistics coordination.

3. The coating application method and the over coating times to achieve the required thickness shall follow
CORAL's Standardised Technical Specifications for Protecting Coating and Lining.

4. The coating specification shall be as in accordance with COMPANY specifications and under this CONTRACT.

5. The compensation for paints, labor (onshore only) and other related consumables used for painting shall be
derived by multiplying the total surface area painted by CONTRACTOR and verified by COMPANY site
representatives using the following tables.
a. Table 1 – Formulas for Calculation of Surface Area
b. Table 2 – Surface Area Quick Reference Table for Pipes, Vessels, Pipe Fittings and Elbows
c. Table 3 – Surface Area Quick Reference Table for Valves and Flanged Specialty Items
Note: For structural items such as plates, beams, channels, angles and the like, the surface area shall be the
Length (L) multiplied by the Width (W) of the structure’s surface.
