ArchiHub is pleased to invite you to our latest endeavor, ‘Tareekh ki Tasaweer’

ArchiHub is arranging a new educational and artistic event for all students in the Department
of Architecture called, "Tareekh ki Tasaweer: ‫اندرو ں الہ ور کی م نظر کسی‬." A Photowalk that will allow
you to document the intricacies of the Walled City, Lahore on the chilly morning of 18th
November. Our objective is to encourage students to explore and capture the essence of
this unique locale, preserving its charm through their lenses with the help of your
participation in the event.
The event comprises a photo walk during which students will document the intricacies of the
Walled City along with your engagement. Selected photographs will be displayed in a public
exhibition on 22nd November, offering a platform to showcase the student’s talents and
prizes will be distributed to the winners as well.

To ensure a meaningful experience, the photography will be categorized into six modules:
1. Architectural Details: Focus on the intricate architectural details of the buildings to
highlight the craftsmanship.
2. Street Life: Photograph the everyday life of the people in the Walled City, capturing the
hustle and bustle of markets and the interactions between residents.
3. Color and Textures: Close-up shots of colorful facades, ornate tiles, and the variety of
textures found in the narrow alleyways.
4. Contrasts and Parallels: Look for contrasts between traditional and modern architecture,
within the walled city for powerful visual storytelling.
5. Light and Shadow: Embrace minimalism through stark, high-contrast images highlighting
the interplay of light and shadow.
6. Frame within a Frame: Capturing the architectural subject through a window or door to
add layers and depth.

Following the photo walk, an exhibition would be set up to showcase the artistic talents of
the students, and through your partake in the judging process, the best ones would be
awarded prizes.

 Route 1: Delhi Gate to Badshahi Mosque
 Route 2: Bhatti Gate to Badshahi Mosque

Photowalk Schedule:

 Event Date: 18 November 2023

 Departure from UET: 8:30 a.m.
 Introduction and Session at Delhi Gate: 9:30 a.m.
 Second group towards Bhatti Gate: 10:30 a.m.
 Start at Bhatti Gate: 10:30 a.m.
 Reconvene at Badshahi Mosque: 2:30 p.m.
 Return to UET: 4:00 p.m.

 Event Date: 22 November 2023
 Timings: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 a.m.
 Jury and Winner Announcement: 10:00 a.m.
 Refreshments: 11:00 a.m.
