1 Executive Summary
YESU ASOBOLA DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION is located in Kasana Village, Migadde Parish,
Luwero Town Council, Luwero District under the initiative of reducing vulnerability amongst
households and their members through saving and borrowing from each other in order to sustain their
income status; the loans are given with an interest of 10% to only members. This group implements
other activities like organic agriculture and help them grow enough food on a small area both for
domestic and commercial use. The association consists of 60 members of which two thirds are
women.

Objectives

 To improve member’s’ financial status where in the long run will check their domestic
welfare and sustainability of financial base
 To develop the culture of saving
 To improve member’s livelihoods and life skills.
 Reduction of poverty which leads to vulnerability amongst group members

2 Planned Activities
 To get individual loans of different amounts to support members grow financially through
poultry and animal raring projects which are ongoing like, poultry, and piggery.
 To boast the welfare of members and their children especially building capacity in the
projects going on.
 To have financial literacy training to improve on financial management systems in our daily
routines.

4 Competitive advantage
 There is high population which leads to ready market coupled with University students, the
nearby capital city and the Gulu-Bombo road these create a wide market for output
immediately thus strengthening our financial base.
 We have saved and borrowed our money since 2015 while trusting each other and we are
challenged with inadequate finances to loan the group members.

 The major barrier in the group is inadequate finance. The potential to utilize funds is
enormous; however the capital investment to achieve this has not been enough.

5 Management Team
 The project will have technical staff from Bombo church as technical advisor, field officers,
and loan committee and Yesu Asobola Development Association financial committee to
support the above staff.

 Professional consultants and government officials will be brought on board to provide

technical assistance and guidance to the project operations.

 Our books will be audited annually by hired auditor for better financial operations.

6 Financial Summary

The promoters have developed a year projection as attached (Financial Projection attached)

7 Business Model

 We shall utilize this finance in different individual projects and pay back after a year.
 We are investing in different income generating activities which boast our financial status.
 Revenues generated through interest will fund the expansion plans of individual members.

8 Record keeping

 Pass books will be developed which will contain each member’s loan details and how to be
monitored.
 Operation wealth creation team from Bombo church will always visit our books of accounts
to evaluate performance on quarterly basis.

9 Business Assessment

 The technical aspect is very competent as a number of consultants will work on the project
and research findings will continuously be implemented.
 Our economic and financial model is viable, with impressive returns on investment as well as
a short break-even period.
