HOLIDAY ASSIGNMENT FOR PARENTS

Warm Greetings!

The Summers have knocked at the doors…… so it’s the time to enjoy
the much awaited summer vacations.

We are sure that you will definitely enjoy your summer vacation
with your family and friends.

Here are some tips to make this period fruitful and happy period for
them.

General Instructions.
 Holiday Homework is to be done in the holiday home work
notebook and scrapbook given by school.
 Parents are requested to only guide their children while doing
the assignment.
 Ask you children to learn whole Syllabus of all subjects from
class work copies for next UT.
 Have at least 2 meals together with family. Parents should
teach their children the importance of hard work of the farmers
and ask them not to waste their foods, and ask them to take
only healthy food.
 Ask your children to help in household works. So they will learn
dignity of labour.

 Ask your children to do their work them selves so that children
may be more independent and confident.
 Ask them to learn five new words in English daily.
 Visit the grandparents and let your children bond with them.
Their love and emotional support are very important for your
child. click snaps with them.
 Share stories of your childhood and moral stories with your
children.
 Allow your child to play outdoor and get dirty. It's ok for them to
fall down and experience pain once in a while.
 Ask your children to use the magical words “Thank You, Sorry,
Please”.
 Ask your children to read Newspaper daily and note some
important News in the Homework Register.
 Note:-Have a lot of fun and take good care of yourself.

Now select any one segment - either INDIAN or BRITISH or AMERICAN
from your English course books; Study and research about them and
make a presentable FILE. Pick at least 5 literary figures and paste their
photographs and write about them ....for one writer or poet use around 3-
4 pages.

MATHS 1. Where do we use conic sections (Circle, parabola, ellipse

Hyperbola in our daily life? Write and draw on A chart paper 5
examples each of one of the given in braket.

2.Find the last 10 years questions of chapter Inverse Trigonometric

Function, Matrices and Determinants and solve them(refer to
C.B.S.C site or from sample papers or from NCERT book).

COMPUTER 1. Write a program that takes any two lists L and M of the same size and adds
their elements together to form a new list N whose elements are sums of the
corresponding elements in L and M. For instance, if L = [3,1,4] and M = [1, 5,9],
then N should equal [4, 6, 13].
2. Write a program that rotates the elements of a list so that the element at the
first index moves to the second index, the element in the second index moves to
the third index, etc., and the element in the last index moves to the first index.
3. Write a short Python code segment that prints the longest word in a list of
words.
4. Write a program that creates a list of all the integers less than 100 that are
multiples of 3 or 5.
5. Define two variables first and second so that first = “Jimmy” and second =
“Johny”. Write a short Python code segment that swaps the values assigned to
these two variables and prints the results.
