Instalații moderne multiswitch – Signal MRP

Signal MRP multiswitches with passive DVB-T/DAB/FM path have been designed for small/medium size SAT
installations built in star topology. One device or a group of such multiswitches feeds the subscriber outlets from
individual outputs of the multiswitch(es). This topology is typical for applications in single-family homes and in
buildings inhabited by several or so families.

The MRP series has passive terrestrial path. If the terrestrial signals in the location of the terrestrial antenna(s) are
not strong enough, it will be necessary to use an antenna preamplifier, or even a high gain outdoor amplifier such
as MA080L R82022.

Masthead antenna amplifier Terra MA080L R82022 has FM (88-108 MHz), VHFIII (174-230 MHz), and UHF (470-
790 MHz) inputs. Each path has a separate gain adjustment, the UHF path has built-in LTE 800 filter.

antenna amplifier Terra MA080L R82022 has FM (88-108 MHz), VHFIII (174-230 MHz), and UHF (470-790 MHz)
inputs. Each path has a separate gain adjustment, the UHF path has built-in LTE 800 filter. The Signal MRP-
504 R68504 multiswitch distributes the satellite signals from the A98257 QUATRO LNB, and the amplified
terrestrial DVB-T and FM/DAB signals, to four subscriber terminal outlets Signal R694100.

The configuration with the MA080L R82022 amplifier allows for adjustment of the gain in a wide range for each
band: 20 dB for FM and VHF, 30 dB for UHF.
Other band/broadband amplifiers for use in the terrestrial path
Broadband amplifiers in terrestrial paths of multiswitch systems amplify the signals received by antennas to ensure
proper levels in all outlets. It includes the compensation of losses on passive network elements (cabling, splitters,
outlets). The amplifiers have one broadband input or several band inputs with individual gain adjustment and a
broadband output. They usually ensure compensation of the attenuation of the cabling, changing with frequency,
and are equipped with power supplies. The amplifiers are characterized by high maximum output levels of over 100
dBμV.

Video from security cameras in antenna installation

To convert an audio/video signal from a source like a PC, video player, or surveillance camera into RF signal
distributable in the antenna system, it is necessary to employ an RF modulator. Digital TV modulators are equipped
with one or more HDMI input(s) and RF output that injects the signal to the installation in the form of a TV channel
that can be received by any television connected to the antenna system.
HDMI to DVB-T encoder/modulator R86111 encodes and modulates Full HD (1920x1080-60p) signal provided to
its HDMI input to RF signal in accordance with DVB-T standard (COFDM). This way, the device can distribute the
surveillance video from the output of a DVR/NVR to multiple televisions, via typical coaxial cabling used in antenna
systems, which also can make a good alternative for applications distributing the video with the use of HDMI splitters
and cables.
