How to cast a fishing pole

Information to know

This packet is a beginners guide to casting a fishing pole. You must


have a fishing pole with a line on it and a hook or lure to use as bait.
After reading these instructions you should be able to cast a fishing pole
at the most basic level. These instructions are here to provide basic
lessons and skills to be able to cast a fishing pole.
Baiting your pole

1. Start by baiting your rod with a hook or Lure.


2. A Knot is required to bait your rod, a basic one is the
Hangman’s knot.
3. To start the hangmans knot string the line through the eye of
the hook and make a loop.
4. Then take the end of the line and turn around the inside of
the loop and the other side of the line seven times.
5. Then on the last loop secure the end of the line with your
finger and pull
Casting your polee

1. The first step 1 is opening your bail and letting about a foot of
line out. Your bail is the movable metal semicircle next to the
spool.
2. The second step 2 is holding the pole with you hand opposite of
the reel use your pointer finger to pinch the line to the pole.
 Then gripping the pole with either one or two hands maneuver
the pole, so the line hangs behind your head.
 Finally snap the pole forward with moderate force and let go of
the line in your finger and hold the pole steady and let the line fly.
